JR Kyushu has been selling a limited number of “Kyushu App Lottery Ticket No. 3 from Hakata” since July 1. Registration as a JR Kyushu Web member and downloading of the JR Kyushu application are required to purchase the tickets.
Each person can win a round-trip ticket from Hakata to any destination in Kyushu for 5,000 yen (weekdays only) or 6,000 yen (all days including weekends and holidays). There is also a “3-day unlimited travel on JR Kyushu lines” jackpot with a 3% chance of winning.
13,000 pairs (first-come, first-served), of which 5,000 pairs are for weekday use only and 8,000 pairs for all-day use, can be purchased for up to two persons per pair with one lottery ticket. The lottery is available until September 30 (not available from August 9 to 17 and from September 13 to 15).
