Keisei Electric Railway announced on May 21 that it has begun designing a new pay express train that will connect Oshiage to Narita Airport, aiming to begin operation in fiscal 2028.

The purpose is to improve transportation capacity and services between the airport and downtown Tokyo in response to the functional enhancement of Narita Airport. In addition to the existing Skyliner (between Keisei Ueno and Narita Airport), a new access route will be provided.

The Keisei Group operates bus routes and hotel businesses in the Oshiage area, where the new express will depart and arrive, and the introduction of the new express is expected to enhance regional value and generate synergies between the businesses. Details will be announced in due course.
