On April 13, the Osaka-Kansai Expo (EXPO 2025) will open in Yumeshima, Osaka. Here we report on scenes from the media day held prior to the opening of the Expo.

At the entrance to the Holland Pavilion, located in the “Saving Zone” on the west side of the large roof ring, visitors will be greeted by the Dutch-born character, Miffy. This will be a popular photo spot during the exhibition.

At the Holland Pavilion, themed “Common Ground,” visitors are first handed a spherical device called an “orb.

Visitors are guided by this orb through the history of the Netherlands, which has struggled with water since ancient times, as they interact with a variety of installations and innovative ideas, technologies, and knowledge.

Throughout the exhibit, Miffy provides easy-to-understand explanations using simple words and illustrations, so this is a great opportunity for children to experience and understand the social and environmental issues facing our planet.
