HIS presents first-come, first-served “SKY” travel coupons worth up to 10,000 yen for the campaign to support acquisition of a new passport.

HIS (HIS) will conduct the “New Passport Acquisition Support Campaign” from March 24 to May 8.

With the start of issuance of the new passport, JATA, travel agencies, airport companies, and overseas government tourist bureaus will join together in the “Overseas Travel Expansion Project” to achieve a full recovery in overseas travel.

HIS will give away the first 1,000 HIS travel coupons worth 10,000 yen per person (5,000 yen per person for those under 12 years old) to the first 1,000 applicants who apply for overseas organized tours (Ciao, impresso, cruise) worth 50,000 yen or more and have a new passport (5-year or 10-year valid passport) issued after April 1, 2012. The new passport uses plastic for the photo page and three photo locations. The new passport is made with a hologram, the pattern of which changes depending on the angle, and other measures against counterfeiting and alteration have been greatly enhanced. The new passports are produced centrally at the National Printing Bureau, and it takes about two weeks from application to issuance in Japan and two weeks to one month from issuance outside Japan (at embassies and consulates general).
