NAA (Narita International Airport) announced on March 21 that it will renovate the observation deck and 5th floor area (including part of the 4th floor) of Terminal 1, aiming to open in spring 2026.

Based on the theme of “rich water and seasonal changes that nurture Japanese culture and spirituality,” the observation deck will consist of a grassy area and a wooden deck, and seating areas inside the museum will include tatami mat areas and a tea ceremony room. The renewal area is approximately 8,000 m2.

The restaurants, stores and lounge on the 5th floor will remain open.
