JR East Trading will release “Suica no Penguin” local wood straps for Kanagawa and Niigata prefectures on March 21. Priced at 1,045 yen each.

The Kanagawa Prefecture design is based on Yokohama Chinatown, and features a cute Suica penguin wearing a Chinese-style hat and holding a steamed meat bun.

Niigata Prefecture features the Suica penguin’s expression as he happily prepares to eat a bowl full of rice.

Both have a Japanese retro atmosphere with warm wood materials, small golden bells, and names with prefectural characters. The size is 12.5 x 3.5 x 0.5 cm.

Handled at the museum store TRAINIART Railroad Museum Store (3-47 Taisei-cho, Omiya-ku, Saitama-shi, Saitama), TRAINIART TOKYO Grandsta Store (B1F in Tokyo Station ticket gates), and the online store TRAINIART JRE MALL Store.
