The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Grant Agreement (G/A) with the Jordanian government in Amman, the capital of Jordan, on February 23 for the “Water Supply Control System Installation Project in Ma’an Governorate”.

Business Objectives

This project will install a SCADA system and upgrade water distribution pumps in the Maan Municipal Water Supply District in Maan Province to establish a real-time, accurate remote monitoring and control of water distribution status and an appropriate operation and management system for water supply facilities, thereby contributing to the improvement of water supply services in the target area.

Business

(a) Facilities and equipment:

Equipment] SCADA system (central remote monitoring and control system, instrumentation equipment and control panels for existing well facilities (25 facilities) and existing water distribution facilities (4 facilities), renewal of water distribution pumps (9 units), etc.

(b) Details of consulting services

Implementation design, bidding assistance, procurement supervision, installation supervision, etc.

1,334 million yen

36 months (including detailed design and bidding period)
