The Metropolitan Expressway will begin renovation work on tollgates with entrance roadblocks in late May, and by the end of FY2025, 55 new tollgates (90 in total including those already in operation) will be dedicated for ETC use.
Based on the status of renewal construction in FY2025, the plan is to convert all tollgates at entrances to ETC-only by the spring of 2028, with the exception of some mainline tollgates and others. The period of construction for each section will be announced at a later date.
