Mizuno Corp. and Aoyama Shoji Co. released the “SPLIT-STRAP Day Bag,” a backpack for new workers, on January 23. The price is 15,290 yen.

Available only in black, the bag measures 21 x 25 x 45 cm and has a capacity of approximately 25 L. It has a dedicated pocket for a 15-inch laptop, a carry case belt on the back, a front pocket for four plastic bottles, and a shoe storage pocket on the bottom of the bag. It is designed to hold clothing and shoes for after-work trips to the gym.

The shoulder belt is equipped with Mizuno’s patented “SPLIT-STRAP,” which is used in sports bags to distribute the weight on the shoulders.

The product is also environmentally friendly, as the D-can strap on the shoulder belt is made of leather from a hardball, which could not be used, and some of the inside pockets are made of waste material from swimming suits. The product is available at 180 major Yofuku-no-Aoyama stores nationwide and online.
