Yokohama City is holding the second AR photo rally in collaboration with “Nighttime Yokohama Illumination 2024-25” and the Gundam series. Participation is free of charge and runs from January 20 to March 2 (photo shooting is possible for 24 hours during the period).
By reading the QR code with a smartphone, visitors can take photos with AR characters from the photo shooting page on the special site. The characters that can be photographed vary depending on the area, and AR will be activated only within the target area.
In the second phase, AR of a total of 8 characters, including the advance theater version “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuuX -Beginning-“, will be added. Combined with the first version, visitors can take pictures with each of the 14 characters in 14 areas against the illuminated background. The third phase is scheduled to start on February 2.
