Keifuku Electric Railway will debut its new Mobo 1 “KYOTRAM” train for Randen in the spring of 2025. The start of commercial operation is scheduled to be announced in late January 2025.

KYOTRAM” features a rounded front. It is equipped with a large LED indicator on the front and LED indicators on the sides for improved visibility and enhanced guidance. Inside the car, stanchion poles integrated with partition panels are used to provide space for wheelchairs and a simple table. The side windows will be large fixed windows to improve the view.

In conjunction with its debut, Randen’s new logo is also being used. The logo shares the same world view as that of KYOTRAM, and is a combination of the two characters “Arashi” and “Den”. The linear design incorporates elements of the Kyoto cityscape, such as the grid pattern, as well as Genjiko (incense) and the bamboo Ajiro pattern.
