On December 27, 2025, the Cabinet approved the government’s draft budget for the fiscal year 2025.
JICA’s project scale for FY2025, as proposed by the government, is as follows

The total budget for grant aid, including that implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and JICA, was 151.4 billion yen (down 4.8 billion yen from the previous year).
