Three NEXCO companies introduced short-time limited parking spaces for large vehicles at 24 new facilities. Turnover rate at Ashikaga SA (uphill) increased by 1.5 times.

On December 25, the three NEXCO companies announced the introduction of short-time limited parking spaces for large vehicles at 24 new SA/PA locations.

The “Short-Time Limited Parking Mass,” which can be used for 60 minutes or less, has been introduced sequentially at 11 SA/PAs since November 2023 as a demonstration experiment to ensure rest opportunities for drivers of large vehicles. At Tomei Ashigara SA (uphill), the number of vehicles using the system for short periods of time increased by approximately 1.8 times, and the turnover rate of parking spaces increased by approximately 1.5 times, confirming the effectiveness of the system.
