Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple (1 Narita, Narita City, Chiba Prefecture) has opened a special website for the first visit of 2025.

Naritasan traditionally holds New Year’s decorations, kadomatsu (small pine trees) decorated in various halls, and New Year’s prayers until January 28, the first day of the year on which Fudo-sama is celebrated.

The temple grounds are open all year round regardless of the year-end and New Year holidays, but the opening and closing times of each hall vary according to the time of the hourly Gomama prayer in the Main Hall. Please note that admission may be restricted on New Year’s Eve and Sangatsu (New Year’s Eve).

Traffic regulations will be in effect from 9:00 p.m. on December 31st to January 31st, mainly along Omotesando Avenue. For details, please refer to the special website of Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple and the Narita City Tourist Association’s official website “FEEL Narita” for a traffic regulation map and a guide map of parking lots in the area.
