JR Hokkaido Announces “Akai Hoshi” and “Aoi Hoshi” Sightseeing Train Routes. Current “Norokko-go” trains will be out of service in FY2025.

On December 18, JR Hokkaido announced the outline of the operation schedule and route of the “Akai Hoshi” and “Ao Hoshi” sightseeing trains, which will begin service in FY2026.

This project was launched in April as the “Star Train Project,” a new sightseeing train that will totally produce a luxurious and high-quality trip. Specific dates and times of operation, onboard services and “hospitality” fees at stations, and sales methods are scheduled to be announced in the spring of FY2025.
