JR East begins ticketless limited express ticket service on Limited Express Shinano and Shinshu. The “Shinanoi Line Limited Express Fare Coupon Ticket” is discontinued.

JR East will start a conventional ticketless express ticket service on March 15, 2025 for reserved seats in ordinary cars of the limited express “Shinano” and temporary limited express “Shinshu” on the Shinonoi Line and Shinetsu Main Line.

Tickets can be purchased at “Ekinet” from 10:00 a.m. one month prior to the boarding date until the departure time on the same day. 15% or 40% discount “conventional train ticketless limited express tickets (Tokuwari)” will be available, and 50% discount “Tokuwari” will be offered until June 30 as a “start commemoration campaign. The “Tokuwari” discount is limited to certain trains, sections, and seats, and is available only between Nagano Station and Shiojiri Station on the “Shinano” train line.

Ticketless express tickets with JRE POINT rewards will also be set up, and can be exchanged for 460 points for up to 50 km and 720 points for up to 100 km.

With the establishment of this ticket, the “Shinonoi Line Limited Express Fare Coupon” will cease to be sold as of February 15. They will be available until March 14.
